Instead, Lu&me exclusively uses natural ingredients that are healthy for the scalp and the environment, contributing to scalp detoxification and providing long-term support for the natural activity of the scalp and hair.

All Lu&me cleansing agents are made from purely plant-based surfactants; we do not use sodium laureth sulfate. This ensures gentle cleaning for hair and scalp, while preserving the hair color.

All Lu&me formulations are highly concentrated, ensuring high efficiency. By using natural ingredients and avoiding silicones and film formers, the products rinse out quickly, reducing water consumption.

When buying natural cosmetics, pay attention to certification. Only through certification can it be ensured that it is indeed natural cosmetics and does not contain any harmful ingredients. There are only a few established certifications that are 100% reliable in their claims.

To allow the hair mask to penetrate deeply into the hair, the cuticle layer of the hair should be slightly open after shampooing. Apply the hair mask to the lengths and ends of the hair, leave on for 2-3 minutes, and rinse thoroughly. Then use the conditioner (leave-in or rinse-out) to close the cuticle layer again.

The transition from hair cosmetics containing silicones or polyquaternium (synthetic film formers) to natural cosmetics takes approximately +/- 20 days or 4-6 hair washes for adaptation. Silicones persistently coat the hair and scalp and require some time to be completely washed out.

Certified natural cosmetics completely abstain from using polyquaternium (synthetic film formers) as these substances can enter wastewater and potentially harm the ecosystem. Additionally, the health effects are still unclear. Instead, we use natural oils to make the hair easily combable and smooth. More information about Polyquaternium can be found here.

By avoiding silicones and film formers and using mild cleansing agents, the scalp is cared for and cleansed, clogged pores are freed from product residues and dead skin cells. This results in reduced scalp greasiness, allowing you to extend the time between individual hair washes.

We only use pure mountain water from the Tyrolean Alps.

Hyaluronic acid is biotechnologically produced. It is manufactured through the fermentation of bacteria, using glucose and peptone from plant sources as nutrients for the bacteria.

The raw materials are sourced from Austria, Germany and South Tyrol.

To ensure the products' shelf life, the following ingredients are used in certified natural cosmetics, including Lu&me products: Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Benzyl Alcohol, Dehydroacetic Acid, which are considered completely safe.
